LYMO Construction is a manufacturer of exterior architectural panels systems.  This new facility, based in Londonderry, NH, will help expand its operation throughout the Northeast. The building consists of 20,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities in a high bay shop and 14,000 square feet of office operations for executive and design staff.  The office operations are over an additional 7,000sf of manufacturing supervisors office, break rooms and toilet facilities for shop personnel and mechanical and storage space. This additional level makes good use of valuable space, which accommodates the grade difference across the site from front to back. This project showcases the owners specific products, which are integrated through the exterior and interior utilizing a modern industrial palette of exposed steel, concrete floors, glass curtain walls and rustic accents. The high performing building envelope far exceeds the energy code requirements by placing the rain screen system over continuous and cavity insulation with a carefully detailed air & vapor barrier in between. Glazing considerations include natural day lighting that is shielded from direct sun exposure, increased shading coefficients for less direct sunlight and clear glass curtain walls for the northern exposure that helps to showcase the interior. The project was completed within an aggressive schedule by Fulcrum Associates of Amherst, NH.
